If walks have stopped feeling simple

  • You scan the street ahead, planning exits before your dog even sees the trigger.
  • You come home drained, and the advice you find online makes it sound like your fault.
  • You can't tell if anything is actually improving, or if you're just managing.
How it works

Four small steps, repeated for 90 days

Facts first, no judgement. There is no failed walk — a calm walk is data too.

  1. Notice

Watch for the earliest signal — ears shifting, a closed mouth, a brief freeze. Catching that moment gives you time to create space.

Steady Walks Today screen showing week 6 ready to review and a day 36 check-in with typical intensity and recovery.
    Sample data
  2. Record

Under a minute per event. What was the trigger, how far away, how strong, how long to recover. That's it.

Steady Walks Log a walk screen with a note that a calm walk is data, and options to start a session, plan the walk first, or log a recovery day.
    Sample data
  3. Review

Look back at the week and spot the patterns in your own notes. Averages, trends, and one clear change to make next.

Steady Walks Progress screen on the Weekly review tab for week 7, showing walks completed, average intensity, recovery time, confidence, best walk and biggest improvement.
    Sample data
  4. Adjust

Change one thing at a time, with a weekly focus drawn from your own data. Accept it, edit it, or write your own.

Steady Walks Choose this week's focus screen suggesting to make walks easier this week, based on several recent intense reactions.

Proof of progress

See Day 1 next to now.

Progress with a reactive dog is slow and easy to miss. The “Day 1 vs now” screen puts your baseline next to today, so you can see the change in your own notes.

Steady Walks Progress screen showing Starting point vs now: typical intensity dropped from 4 to 2.3, recovery from 4 minutes to 86 seconds, threshold distance from 18 m to 10.6 m, confidence from 3 of 10 to 6.8 of 10. Below it, Day 30 / 60 / 90 milestones.
Sample data
Steady Walks Patterns screen listing insights such as Dog having the highest average intensity, recovery shortest after engage-disengage, and reactions averaging 4 in busy places versus 2.7 in quiet ones. Below it, Triggers by average intensity bars.

Your log will show your own numbers, not these.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

It's for you if…

  • Your dog barks, lunges or freezes at other dogs, people, bikes or traffic.
  • You want to make decisions from patterns, not from how today felt.
  • You're willing to log a few walks a week for 90 days.
  • You want to adjust one thing at a time, not overhaul everything.
  • You're working with a trainer, or want better notes for one.

It's not for you if…

  • You want a cure, a guarantee, or a promise of a specific result.
  • You want a behaviour consultation or veterinary advice.
  • You're looking for accounts, cloud sync, or sharing links — not live yet.
  • You're not willing to log anything between walks.
Safety note Steady Walks is a training log and guide, not veterinary or behaviour consultation advice. If your dog has bitten, or you are worried about anyone's safety, work with a qualified behaviour professional and ask your vet to rule out medical causes.

Questions

Common questions

Is this for aggressive dogs?

Steady Walks is for reactive dogs — dogs that bark, lunge or freeze at triggers. Reactivity and aggression aren't the same thing, and this app isn't an assessment of your dog either way.

If your dog has bitten, or you're worried about anyone's safety, please work with a qualified behaviour professional first. The safety note above applies.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts yet. You open the app, add your dog's name, and start logging. Your data stays in your browser on your device.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in your browser's local storage. We don't receive it, store it, or see it. We can't recover it for you if it's lost.

Because of that, Steady Walks has backup and restore built in. Please save a backup regularly, especially before changing phones or clearing your browser.

What if I change phones?

Use the backup feature on your old phone to save a backup file or copy the backup text. Then restore it on the new phone using the same feature. Both the file and text restore work.

There is no cloud sync — the backup file is how you move your log between devices.

What's your refund policy?

15-day money-back guarantee. Email hello@steadywalks.dog within 15 days of purchase with the subject line “Refund request”. Include the email you used at checkout and, if you have it, the order or receipt number.

We aim to reply within 2 to 5 business days. Refunds go back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. See the full Refund Policy.

Is this veterinary or behaviour advice?

No. Steady Walks is a training log and guide. The weekly focus is suggested from your own data using simple rules — no AI, no diagnosis. It helps you notice patterns and make calmer decisions.

It doesn't replace a vet or a qualified behaviour professional. If your dog has bitten, or you're worried about anyone's safety, please get professional help.

If I ask for a refund, do I keep the PDFs?

Yes, the PDFs are yours to keep. Please don't share or resell them.

Is there a free trial or subscription?

No. The 90-Day Pass is a one-time $27 payment. It doesn't renew and there's nothing to cancel.
