Steady Walks ("we", "us") is operated by Seattle Echo LLC, Florida, United States. This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version
- Your walk log stays on your own device. We do not receive it, store it, or see it.
- We collect your email address only if you buy the 90-Day Pass or sign up for our emails.
- Your card details go to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store them.
- We do not sell your personal information.
What the app stores, and where
The Steady Walks app saves your dog's name, your walk records, trigger events, notes, plans and ratings in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not sent to our servers. This means:
- We cannot see, recover, or delete your log for you.
- Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching device can remove it. Use the backup feature in the app to save a copy.
- If you copy a backup or a report and share it with someone (for example a trainer or vet), that is your choice, and we have no control over what happens to it afterward.
Information we collect on this website
Purchase information. When you buy, Stripe collects your name, email address, billing details and payment details. We receive confirmation of the purchase, your name and email address, and the country or region. We do not receive your full card number.
Email sign-up. If you ask for the free guide or lesson series, we collect the details you enter on the sign-up form — typically your first name and email address — and the page you signed up from. We send you what you asked for and, if you agreed, occasional updates about Steady Walks.
Messages to us. If you email us, we keep your message and our replies.
Website hosting. Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability purposes.
How we use it
To process your purchase and give you access; to send the guide, lesson series and updates you asked for; to answer questions and handle refunds; to keep the site secure and understand which pages help people; and to meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We use service providers that handle information on our behalf:
- Stripe — payments
- Tally — the email sign-up form
- Hostinger — website hosting
These providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Emails
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send messages about your purchase.
How long we keep it
- Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Email sign-up: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Support emails: up to 2 years.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email hello@steadywalks.dog. We may need to confirm it is you. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Steady Walks is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards, but no website or service is completely secure. Your walk log is only as secure as the device and browser it is stored on.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on this website.
